M.Ed., SYLLABUS THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION FOR M.Ed., COURSE PART A: WRITTEN EXAMINATION 1. Paper - I: Philosophy and Sociology of Education 2. Paper - II: Advanced Educational Psychology 3. Paper - III: Methodology of Educational Research and Educational Statistics 4. Elective I : Internal : 25 External : 75 Total : 100 5. Elective II : Internal : 25 External : 75 Total : 100 Marks for continuous assessment shall be given by the concerned subject teachers, on the basis of their evaluation of the students' progress during the year, and weightages shall be given to different aspects as follows; 1. Tests (5) 2. Assignments (10) 3. Participation in Seminar (5) 4. Regularity (5) The number of tests in each paper shall be two. The number of assignments and seminars respectively shall be two and one. PART – B: THESIS Internal : 50 External : 150 Total : 200 The Viva-Voce examination shall be conducted within three months after the submission of the thesis at the Department of Education by the Board of Examiners appointed by the University. The thesis shall be valued by the guide and one external examiner and in the case of discrepancy of 10% or more between the two valuations; it shall be valued by a third examiner. |
