ACHIEVEMENTS
• As principal of Petit Seminaire School, Pondicherry (December 1984), the student - strength increased from 3500 to 6100 in 1997. 100% results were produced many times both in Matriculation and higher Secondary. The school got the First few Ranks consistently in Pondicherry State.
• It was judged as the best institution in sports and games consecutively for many years in the Pondicherry state.
• In JIPMER Medical College, Pondicherry, Petit Seminaire Students obtained 10 seats out of 75 on merit.
• The first person to introduce Computers among Pondicherry Schools. Payroll, Fee collection, Rank Card, Transfer Certificate, Processing of Result, Publication of Result etc., were fully computerized by him in 1984.
• Organized all private schools and became the first secretary of it. After 15 years of struggle with the government, Pension, Family Pension, Gratuity and Medical Allowances for the Private School Teachers in Pondicherry State were obtained.
• Conducted successfully the conference of 175 Catholic school principals over India in Petit Seminaire Higher School for a period of five days.
• Started the Archdiocesan Coaching Centre, preparing students for Professional Entrance Exams in 1984. In this effort, outstanding success was achieved.
• First Secretary of the Archdiocesan Board and continued to be the secretary till 1997 - instrumental in formulating the constitution of the Archdiocesan Board of Education.
• As Secretary of the Archdiocesan Board of Education, started the first private college in the Union Territory of Puducherry in 1986, namely, Pope John Paul II College of Education.
• After taking charge as the Principal, simultaneously he started the Pope John Paul II School for Excellence for IELTS/TOEFL/GRE/CAT (MBA)/ IAS AND NET coaching classes in the college.
• Acquired a model school in 2004 mainly to train our college teacher-trainees, Blessed Mother Teresa Model Higher Secondary School.
• Due to strenuous, consistent and judicious striving, succeeded in securing “A” grade in 2005 from the NAAC committee which is a historical achievement for the college since it was the first and the only college in the whole of the Union Territory of Puducherry then to obtain an “A” grade then.
• For a few years, the college looked after the Technology refresher course of the Pondicherry Academic Staff College.
• Regularly contributed to the upgradation of Integrated B.Ed. syllabus.
• Acted as Chairperson of the Integrated B.Ed. paper correction a few times.
• Obtained a G.O. 27, dated 13-2-2014 from the Government of Tamil Nadu, recognizing the Integrated B.Ed. for jobs in Tamil Nadu.
